In this article, we'll show you how to make your private Facebook event public. Keep in mind that the privacy of the event cannot be changed, so you will have to duplicate the event (and the invitee list) and then make it public.

Steps

1. 1 Go to address https://www.facebook.com in a web browser. This method involves using a web browser on your computer.
   • If the login page opens, enter your username and password in the upper right corner, and then click Login.
2. 2 Click on Events. It's in the left pane under the Highlights section.
3. 3 Click on the name of your event.
4. 4 Push ⋯. You will find this icon to the right of the Edit button under the cover image.
5. 5 Select Duplicate Event. The event creation window will open.
6. 6 Select Public Event from the menu. You will find it in the upper left corner of the event creation window.
7. 7 Enter your event information and click Create. People you invited to the original private event will receive invitations to the new public event.
