Give a second life to an unpaired glove or gloves with holes that can no longer be used as intended.
Steps
- 1 Gather the required materials.
- 2 Cut your fingers off your old gloves. Throw away all fingers that have a hole at the very top (unless you are making a bald doll, where your finger will be bald).
- 3 Treat the base of your fingers to keep the fabric from fraying. A regular hand stitch will work. Apply glue to the base if you are not skilled or do not want to sew. Just flip the base with your fingers and glue.
- 4 Decorate the dolls:
- Use eye felt (cut out small eyes or circles) or glue on pre-made eyes from the store.
- Glue the nose with felt, glitter, or small buttons.
- Make a mouth. Glitter stickers will work, but you can cut the smile out of felt and glue it on.
- Add hair. Use yarn, wool, thread to make your hair. Hair can be loose, tied in a ponytail, braided, long or short. It is fashionable to make a beard from pieces of cotton wool or wool. Glue or sew on hair and beard.
- Dress up your doll. Sew on or glue on the fabric using your imagination. Add a bow tie, scarf, jewelry, buttons, etc.
Tips
- A simple puppet show can be made from a shoebox or from a porridge box. If you put the box on its side and cut out a small window, it will be a scene. Make sure your hand goes into the box. Decorate the stage with curtains and spotlights. Lace, buttons and fabric are what you can glue to the box to create a great theater.
