1 Find a piece of paper. You can rip a sheet out of your notebook or take a blank sheet of paper. This is the perfect size for a paper soccer ball, but if the paper is smaller or larger, then that's okay too. Notebook or printer paper will work better than heavy sketching paper because it is easier to fold, because it is lighter and easier to play with.

• Take out a blank piece of paper to make your ball look good. It will be easier for you to decorate later if you need it.

2 Fold the paper in half lengthwise. Fold one side over the other, either right to left or left to right. Make sure the edges of the paper are aligned so that you have an even fold in the middle.

• Slide your finger along the fold for better definition.
• To make the fold firmer, you can unfold the fold, turn the paper over, and then fold it again so that you have a strong fold on both sides.
• Unfold the paper after folding it and secure the fold.

3 Cut or tear the sheet at the fold. Use scissors to cut this fold or simply tear it apart gently. This will create two long strips of paper.

• For the ball, you only need one strip of paper - from the second you can make a second ball.

4 Fold the strip in half. This will create a strip of paper that is twice as thick. Place it vertically in front of you.

5 Align the lower-left corner to the opposite corner to form a triangle. The right side of the triangle should be aligned with the right side of the vertical strip. The top of the triangle should be parallel to the top of the paper itself. This will give you a regular triangle with corners correctly folded.

6 Flip the triangle over the top. This will create a different, denser triangle.

7 Continue folding the triangles until you reach the top. Once you are good at this, you can make many triangles of almost the same length.

8 Unfold the last fold and fold it into a triangle. Fold the top tip down so that the two points meet, creating two triangles. Don't worry if the triangle is not straight - with practice everything will come.

9 Cut off the right corner of the triangle. You can tear off the paper or leave it in place by gently pushing it into the desired corner.

10 Place the remaining paper in the pocket formed by the first triangle.

11 Straighten the paper ball. Straighten all corners to flatten the ball. Now that it's ready, you can get ready to become the paper ball soccer champion.

12 Decorate your ball as desired. If you want to add something interesting, then you can draw a picture with a marker or a pen, it could be something related to football.

13 Ready.

Tips

• You can also make the ball tighter if you fold the paper rather than tear it off. Then only one ball will turn out from one sheet.
• Try cutting the paper rather than tearing it, so you have better cuts and the ball will fly better when hit.
• You can also add 2-3 sheets of paper for the weight.
• You can repeat this process by making a second ball using a second strip of paper.
• Do not aim such a ball in the eye.
