1 Prepare a large bowl, measuring cup, ice, water, and free enough space in the refrigerator before you start making Jell-O.Tips
- To speed up the process, instead of 1 cup, pour ¾ cup of boiling water over the gelatin, then add 1/2 cup of cold water instead of 1 cup and at the same time add ice cubes to make the gelatin freeze faster. Place the dessert in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or 1-2 hours until it hardens.
- Try different mixes for Jell-O: strawberry, pumpkin or cherry.
- Decorate dessert with whipped cream, fruit, or pastry sprinkles.
Warnings
- Jell-O is not a vegetarian dessert. Gelatin is a protein product that is produced by hydrolysis of collagen obtained from bones, connective tissues, organs and parts of the intestines of animals.
