1 Pick your favorite hot sauce like Tabasco. Consider a dish for which you need Buffalo sauce, such as Buffalo wings, or a burger or sandwich dipping sauce, or a spicy salad dressing.- You will need a minimum of 1/2 cup (120 ml) hot sauce.
- Add chili powder, smoked paprika, sweet paprika, salt, dried onion powder, and cayenne pepper powder.
- Stir in honey and cornstarch.
- Add Worcestershire sauce
- If you want to give the suck a slightly different flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon (0.6 grams) of oregano and / or white pepper. Some recipes even add a little beer.
- For a sweeter sauce, add 4 tablespoons (60 grams) of brown sugar.
Method 2 of 2: Making Buffalo Sauce
- 1 Place the saucepan over medium-high heat. Choose a saucepan that will hold all of the sauce and the rest of the ingredients.
- 2 Place unsalted butter in a saucepan. Let the butter melt.
- 3 Add hot spice sauce from a bowl. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a whisk or wooden spoon.
- 4 Bring the contents of the saucepan to a low boil.
- 5 Reduce heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
- 6 When the sauce has boiled down, pour it over the wings or another dish. Spread the sauce over the surface of the dish. Serve immediately.
- Store leftover Buffalo Sauce in an airtight container. Refrigerate it for no more than 2 weeks.
