Deep-fried pork ribs? Yes! Not only are they grilled, they are delicious deep-fried with peanut sauce or plain old barbecue sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1 strip of pork ribs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • Deep-frying peanut butter

Steps

  1. 1 Wash and dry your ribs thoroughly.
  2. 2 Combine the rest of the ingredients (except the butter) in a medium bowl.
  3. 3 Pour about 50 ml of oil into a large saucepan and heat to 190 degrees Celsius.
  4. 4 Divide the ribs into separate pieces using a sharp knife.
  5. 5 Lightly sprinkle the ribs with the mixture twice or thrice at a time and place in a deep fryer.
  6. 6 Don't put more than 4 ribs at a time in your pot; you want to fry them with a crispy crust. Too much at a time will cause the ribs to evaporate.
  7. 7 Deep-fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until ribs are golden brown and crispy.
  8. 8 Discard oil and drain onto a wire rack.
  9. 9 Serve with your favorite sauce.

Tips

  • Make sure the meat is completely dry while deep-frying. Water can splash oil and cause severe burns.
