Deep-fried pork ribs? Yes! Not only are they grilled, they are delicious deep-fried with peanut sauce or plain old barbecue sauce!
Ingredients
- 1 strip of pork ribs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- Deep-frying peanut butter
Steps
1 Wash and dry your ribs thoroughly.
2 Combine the rest of the ingredients (except the butter) in a medium bowl.
3 Pour about 50 ml of oil into a large saucepan and heat to 190 degrees Celsius.
4 Divide the ribs into separate pieces using a sharp knife.
5 Lightly sprinkle the ribs with the mixture twice or thrice at a time and place in a deep fryer.
6 Don't put more than 4 ribs at a time in your pot; you want to fry them with a crispy crust. Too much at a time will cause the ribs to evaporate.
7 Deep-fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until ribs are golden brown and crispy.
8 Discard oil and drain onto a wire rack.
9 Serve with your favorite sauce.
Tips
- Make sure the meat is completely dry while deep-frying. Water can splash oil and cause severe burns.
