This is a recipe for a regular omelet, nothing special, however, such an omelet is easy to prepare and delicious to eat.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 eggs
  • Some milk
  • Butter / vegetable oil
  • Condiments
  • Salt

Steps

  1. 1 Crack two eggs in a bowl or plate.
  2. 2 Add some milk.
  3. 3 Stir until the egg is completely mixed with the milk. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  4. 4 Melt some butter in a skillet or add some vegetable oil, spread it around over medium heat (stove settings don't matter, which is why this is a great recipe for beginners).
  5. 5 Pour the egg and milk mixture into the skillet and let sit for a while.
  6. 6 After a minute or so, take a spatula or fork to lift the edge of the omelet and check the underside. If it is brown, turn the omelet to the other side, if it is yellow with no brown spots or areas, let it sit for a few more minutes.
  7. 7 Check also the other side when done, and if the omelet is brownish in color or some of its areas, then it is done!
  8. 8 Use a fork or spatula to place on the plate.
  9. 9 Ready.

Tips

  • Add a variety of goodies, such as diced ham, tomatoes, or bacon, to the bowl after beating the eggs and milk.
  • If you add a little baking powder, the omelet will rise and come out fluffy.
  • You can add seasoning or salt for extra flavor.

Warnings

  • Even if the omelet is brown, pierce it lightly with a fork to check for readiness.
