This article will show you how to send your birthday wishes to your friends on the website and Facebook app.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: On iPhone / iPad

1. 1 Launch the Facebook app.
2. 2 Push ☰. You will find this icon in the lower right corner of your screen.
3. 3 Tap Events. This red calendar page icon is located in the middle of the screen.
4. 4 Click the pencil-shaped icon next to your friend's name. Friends who are soon to have a birthday will appear at the bottom of the screen in the Birthdays section.
   • Some friends' names have a Messenger icon instead of a pencil icon. This means that the privacy settings of such friends prevent other users from posting on their wall, but they can be sent a message.
5. 5 Click on the text box.
6. 6 Enter your greeting text.
7. 7 Tap Post. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. Congratulations will be displayed in your friend's Chronicle.

Method 2 of 3: On an Android device

1. 1 Launch the Facebook app.
2. 2 Push ☰. You will find this icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Tap Events. This red calendar page icon is located in the middle of the screen.
4. 4 Click Birthdays. You will find this option at the top of the screen.
5. 5 Tap a friend's name. His Chronicle will open.
6. 6 Click "Write" to enter your text. A text box will appear below the section with your friend's profile information.
7. 7 Enter your greeting text.
   • Tap one of the colored circles to change the background of the congratulation message.
8. 8 Click Publish. This button can be found in the upper right corner of the screen. Congratulations will be displayed in your friend's Chronicle.

Method 3 of 3: On the computer

1. 1 Open the website www.facebook.com.
2. 2 Log in to your account.
3. 3 Click Events. This calendar sheet icon is on the left side of the screen under the Points of Interest section. A list of all upcoming events will open. Birthdays will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
4. 4 Click All. This button will appear in the upper-right corner of the Birthdays This Week window.
5. 5 Click on the text box to enter text.
6. 6 Enter your greeting text.
7. 7 Click on ↵ Enter. Congratulations will be displayed in your friend's Chronicle.
