Angle grinders (angle grinders, "grinders" - pneumatic or electric) are used for cutting metal, sharpening tools, cleaning cement and so on. The choice of angle grinder and disks for it depends on the type of work. LBM is a convenient and versatile tool that is effective, safe and easy to use following these simple instructions.

Steps

1. 1 Choose angle grinder depending on the tasks. Electric angle grinders are more powerful, they are convenient to use in large spaces for a large amount of work. Pneumatic angle grinders are less powerful, but easier to operate, and are suitable for working in confined spaces.
2. 2 Choose the right discs for the job. Discs are used for grinding and polishing (in the final stages), while cut-off wheels are used for cutting metal, stone, steel, pipes and so on. There are wire brushes for angle grinders, they are designed to remove rust or paint. Never use cutting discs for grinding.
3. 3 Carefully read the instructions for the angle grinder and discs. Understand and follow the manufacturer's recommendations before starting work.
4. 4 Clamp the work piece securely, for example in a vise on a sturdy, stable work table. Make sure the part is properly secured before working.
5. 5 When sanding, hold the angle grinder with both hands, by the body and the handle, placing the plane of the disc perpendicular to the surface to be processed.
6. 6 Grind by moving the angle grinder along the surface towards the handle to avoid kickback or disc slipping. Unstable position of the body, improper grip of the angle grinder and incorrect movement can lead to damage to work and injury.
   • When completing a pass or work, lift the angle grinder slowly and smoothly.

Tips

• Run the angle grinder idle for one to two minutes before operating to make sure the blade and handle are properly seated and not damaged.
• Position the part and angle grinder during operation so that the particles fly towards the floor and away from you, and not into your face.
• When sanding metal, do not use excessive force to avoid overheating the part. Keep a bucket of water and a rag nearby to cool the surface.

Warnings

• Observe all necessary precautions and safety precautions. Most often, the head and face are injured. Wear a transparent visor to protect your face and eyes.
• Always disconnect the angle grinder completely before replacing the disc.
• Keep children and nosy bystanders at a safe distance. It is better to prohibit outsiders from being at the place of work altogether.
• Sparks appear when working with angle grinders, work away from flammable materials.
• Do not use angle grinders without a protective cover.
• Never wear gloves when working with angle grinders. Clothes or headphones should also not hang down to avoid accidentally hitting the rotating disc.
