Tired of pumping your Pokemon the old fashioned way? Rare candies are used to take Pokémon to the next level. You get some of them throughout the game, but if you want a lot of rare candies, use the cheat codes in the VisualBoy Advance emulator.

Steps

1. 1 Run Pokemon LeafGreen in the VisualBoy Advance emulator to be able to use the cheat codes. If you want to enter cheat codes directly into Gameboy, buy GameShark or Action Replay.
2. 2 Clear the first slot in your character's inventory. 999 Rare Candies will appear in the first inventory slot. If you do not clear the first slot, then its contents will be deleted (after entering the code).
3. 3 Remember: using codes in GameShark or Action Replay can crash the game. These codes are created by users and it is not known how they will work in your case (for some they work, and for others they do not). Using codes means that you are ready to risk and lose your saved progress in the game.
4. 4 Open the Cheats menu and select Cheat list. A new window will open.
5. 5 Click the button.Gameshark ... to enter codes in GameShark or Action Replay.
   • Note: The codes in this article will not necessarily work. You can find more codes on sites NeoSeeker.com and SuperCheats.com.
6. 6 Enter the code to get rare sweets. Enter “Rare Candy” in the description line, and enter the following code in the “Code” line.

7. 7 Click.OK to save and redeem your rare candy code. You may need to enter and exit the building for the changes to take effect.
8. 8 Open your inventory and you will see rare candies in its first slot. The number of candies available will most likely be labeled "?", But you will be able to get as many rare candies as you can carry.
9. 9 If that doesn't work, try an alternate code. This alternative requires two codes: a master code and a code for obtaining rare candies. When doing so, disable the previous code in the code list. Master code

Tips

• Alternatively, you can use another method - a Pokémon capable of picking up items, for example, Meowth, which picks up rare candies after battles.

Warnings

• GameShark and Action Replay devices may damage your saved game. Use them with care.
