Nomads are immigrants from foreign lands. They become useful when there is not enough own population to occupy vacant jobs; they can also be placed in newly constructed work buildings. However, in order for nomads to enter your glorious city, you will need certain buildings. Scroll down to find out how to attract and manage nomads.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: Prepare for Their Arrival

  1. 1 Build the Town Hall building. The Town Hall is an administrative building used in the game; here you can see archives and books with records of the state of the city, as well as population, resources, food supplies, and other population data that change over time. You will also be able to get current information about your citizens, such as employment, health, happiness, education, food production, and more.
    • To build the Town Hall, you need 64 Logs, 124 Stones and 48 Iron, the required number of workers is 160.

  3. 3 Build a Marketplace. The market is also needed to attract nomads; it serves to distribute resources among citizens, where they can get things like food and brushwood and bring them home. Your citizens no longer have to travel far, just to get to a warehouse pile or building and get the necessary supplies.
    • The market covers 90 blocks; every citizen within the area would prefer to get groceries in this market rather than travel far.
    • To build the Market, you need 58 Logs, 62 Stones, 40 Iron and 100 Workers.
    • The more traders you set up to work in the Market, the more food, tools and materials they will distribute.
  4. 4 Build a Point of Sale. The Trading Post is a useful building where merchants trade with you; they will offer food, resources, livestock and new types of seeds. There is no currency in this game; when you make a deal, you will have to exchange resources.
    • To build a Trading Point, you need 62 Logs, 80 Stones, 40 Iron and 140 Workers. You need to build a Trading Post by a large river near the border of the map so that merchants can get there.

Part 2 of 3: Grow your City

  1. 1 Build a Hospital. At this stage, you must build the Hospital for your inhabitants as quickly as possible; nomads bring diseases from other parts of the world, and these diseases can spread and cause the death of other citizens. If you have herbalists, they can help you collect more useful medicinal plants.
    • The Hospital requires 52 Logs, 78 Stones, 32 Iron and 150 Workers. Each hospital accommodates 30 patients.

    • If you have a lot of residents, it is recommended to build more hospitals.
  2. 2 Add more Farmers. Since nomads are uneducated upon entering the city, they will weaken your educated citizens, reducing and slowing down the rate of production. In addition, when a nomad enters the city, food supplies will decrease due to the increase in the number of adults.
    • To avoid hunger, build more farms and assign nomads to work as farmers. Strive to fill all job vacancies to speed up and improve crop production.
    • If nomads have children, you don't need to worry about them. They will attend school just like the children of other residents.
  3. 3 Add more Fishermen. If you have unemployed nomads at this stage, build a fishing spot and assign them as fishermen. Citizens engaged in fishing will continue to forage for food even during the winter season.
    • It takes 30 Logs, 16 Stones and 45 Workers to build a Fishing Spot.
    • Unlike a Trading Point, you can build a Fishing Point on an enclosed body of water. However, after a year, fish stocks may dry up.
    • Educated workers are preferable to be appointed as builders, lumberjacks and gatherers, since they produce more than the uneducated citizens.

Part 3 of 3: Hold on to the End of the Game

  1. 1 Control the population. As the city grows, more nomads will arrive. Remember, with each resident arriving, the city will require more food and brushwood; beginners will need houses, and houses will need materials.
    • By accepting new nomads, you will be able to fill job vacancies; the disadvantage of this process will be the fact that nomads carry disease and consume resources. If you are unsure, refuse newbies.

    • To build a Cemetery, you need 1 Stone per unit area. The maximum size of a cemetery is 20 units in length.

Tips

  • The Town Hall can be used to grant or deny citizenship to nomads arriving at different times, so it is important to build it as soon as possible. Remember that nomads will strengthen the city with additional labor resources if your city gives them housing and livelihood.
  • It is important to keep the Boarding House unoccupied for emergencies during times of disaster. A disaster can happen unexpectedly, such as a house fire or a tornado that destroys vegetation and buildings.
  • Stone House is useful in winter.It reduces the use of brushwood and gives more heat compared to the Wood House.
  • It is best to build the Market away from warehouse buildings or heaps. Houses should also be built around the market square so that it can be used more efficiently.
  • It is more profitable to exchange goods for brushwood than for logs or other resources that you have. Remember, the number of merchants at your outlet determines how quickly the product range you want to buy is replenished.
