Getting a college football scholarship is a dream come true for most young people who have ever set foot on the football field. Unfortunately, not all of them are able to fulfill their desires. However, the lucky few sacrifice themselves and do their best to get the football scholarship they deserve.
Steps
1 Get the attention of soccer scouts. Attend all kinds of camps and workshops across your region so college coaches and recruiters have a different perspective. The best thing to do is to go to campgrounds during the summer holidays that belong to the universities you are considering enrolling in. In addition, in every region of the country there are national camps, where scouts come from everywhere. 
2 Strive for high achievements. If your GPA is below 2.0, colleges may drop you as a rookie. Many athletes think that only talent will secure them a football scholarship, but this is not always the case. The rules require the student athlete to perform at a certain level, so you will not receive a scholarship if you cannot improve your scores. 
3 Don't take any drugs. If you've already started, then quit. 
4 Decide on your main subject, which will help you narrow down your college choices. If you are hesitant and want to choose your specialty immediately after entering college, then scholarship offers will not fool you. 
5 Create an impressive film to send to your chosen colleges. In the arsenal of a high school football coach, there are records of all the games. With the right software or the services of a professional, you will be able to record all your best runs, strokes, blocks, shots and goals on video. Choose a common video format such as DVD for the trainer to watch. 
6 Play hard every time you hit the field. Highly talented players can be kicked out by college coaches if they are lighthearted or lazy on the field. Even if you are not the best player, the right attitude and hard work will lead you to success. 
7 Register with the NCAA Clearinghouse when you reach your final year. This registration simply means that the NCAA will verify that you are eligible to play college football. Your academic performance, amateur status, and SAT and ACT scores will be assessed. Once registration is complete, college coaches will know that you can formally enroll with them without any problem with the requirements being put forward. 
8 Join the football team of a college offering you a scholarship. You have worked hard enough to reach your goal, now live the dream.
Tips
- Be proactive and connect with coaches. If the coaches do not know about your existence, they do not involve you on the field. It is difficult to be seen in matches or camps on the rare occasions when coaches visit or watch tapes. Therefore, along with the professional presentation of your strengths, you should stand out by contacting the coach through a special video.
Warnings
- Your hard work does not end after earning a soccer scholarship. You can be kicked out of the team, or you can lose your scholarship, not following the rules, not maintaining the proper level of grades, or if you play poorly.
