In this article, we'll show you how to change your search region in Google Chrome. Remember that if you change the region, access to content blocked in your country will not open - you need to use a proxy server or VPN for this.

Steps

1. 1 Start Google Chrome . Click on the red-yellow-green-blue circle icon. Typically, it is located on the desktop or taskbar.
   • You won't be able to change the region in the Chrome mobile app.
2. 2 Enter your search term. Click on the address bar at the top of the window, enter your search term and click ↵ Enter.
3. 3 Click on Settings. This option is located below and to the right of the search bar, which is located above the search results. A menu will open.
4. 4 Click on Search settings. You will find this option on the menu. You will be taken to the search settings page.
5. 5 Scroll down to the Select Region section. You will find this option at the bottom of the page.
6. 6 Choose region. To do this, check the box to the left of the required region.
   • If the country you want is not in the list, click More below the list to display the entire list.
7. 7 Scroll down the page and click Save. You will find this blue button at the bottom of the page.
8. 8 Click on OKwhen prompted. The settings will be saved - from now on, search queries will return results in the selected region.

Tips

• By specifying a specific region, you can quickly find events and other information from that country.

Warnings

• By default, the region is selected based on your IP address.
