Shining Pokémon are extremely rare and can take many hours to capture, but Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 have one Shining Pokémon that you will definitely get, provided you complete the entire game first. This Pokemon is called Haxorus and you can make it your own by completing the entire Unova Pokedex. Read on to find out how to catch the glowing Pokemon.

Steps

1. 1 Defeat the Elite Four. Before you can find the shining Haxorus, you must collect all of Unov's badges and defeat the Elite Four.You can reach the Pokémon League and Elite Four at the northern end of Victory Road.
2. 2 Complete Unova Pokedex. Another requirement for obtaining Radiant Haxorus is to complete Unova Pokedex. This means that you need to see all the Pokémon on the list. You don't need to catch them, you just need to see all 297 Pokémon from Pokédex.
   • The only exceptions are the four Legendary Pokémon (Dialga, Deoxis, Meloetta, and Keldeo), which do not need to be seen to unlock Haxorus.
3. 3 Talk to Professor Juniper. When you have completed the entire Unova Pokedex, Professor Juniper will give you a "Permit" with which you can travel to Nature Preserve.
   • Professor Juniper can be found in her laboratory in Nuvema Town, where the game begins.
4. 4 Assemble a team and all the necessary items. Before you head out to capture Haxorus, make sure your team is ready. Be sure to take a Pokémon with the False Swipes skill. With the help of it, you will successfully reduce the health of Haxorus, making it much easier to capture him. Also bring some high level Pokémon with you.
   • Having a Pokémon with the Hypnotize, Sleeping Powder, or Paralyze skills will greatly simplify your task of capturing Haxorus.
   • Haxorus is level 60. By this time, your team should be able to deal with this Pokémon without any problems. The only problem might be that you can accidentally drop Haxorus' health below 0 before you catch him.
5. 5 Travel to Mistralton City. You can use the Fly ability to get there directly, or get into the city via Route 7. The city is a huge airport.
   • Enter the main terminal building and talk to the person behind the counter. When you show him the Permit, you will be automatically sent to the Nature Reserve.
6. 6 Find Haxorus. It can be found in the center of the nature reserve. When you land, start at the left edge of the reserve. Go to the bottom of the screen and walk past the plane. Walk right and then up through the tree passage. After a short walk through the trees, you will see Haxorus in the center of the clearing.
7. 7 Save your game. Haxorus appears only once and only in this place. It is recommended to save the game in case you accidentally drop his health below zero. This way you can load the save and try again.
8. 8 Join the battle. Walk up to Haxorus and press the A button. The battle will begin and you will see sparks on Haxorus, indicating that it is a shining Pokemon.
   • Hit Haxorus with a few powerful attacks to drastically reduce his health. See, don't drop his health below zero!
   • When Haxorus's health drops to the red zone, use the False Swing skill until he has 1 health remaining. Fake swing cannot lower health below 1, so you have nothing to worry about.
   • Cast Sleep or Paralysis on Haxorus. This will make it much easier to catch.
9. 9 Start throwing Poke Balls at him. When Haxorus has 1 health remaining and he is put to sleep or paralyzed, start throwing Ultra or Premier Balls at him. It may take several tries before you can catch him.

Warnings

• Warning: If you knock out Haxorus, you won't be able to meet him again. If you saved the game before the battle, then simply restart the game by pressing the L + R + Select + Start button combination.
• Remember that Haxorus is only level 60, so be careful not to knock him out.
