The transition from high school to high school is tough enough that this article will help you prepare for those nervous first steps as you embark on a new chapter in your life. Our article examines the question of how to socially, mentally and physically prepare for studies in high school.

Steps

  1. 1 Social preparation
    • As you transition to high school, it's important to keep in touch with your friends. It's a common thing that a lot of people change in high school, so you'll find out who your real friends are and be friends with them. Give them advice and help each other.
    • Talk to your friends about new buddies at school. This is an important topic that you should discuss. Tell your buddies that you love them dearly as friends and that you will be open to new acquaintances in high school without affecting your friendship. Tell your friends (friend) that they too can find new friends, as well as communicate together. Sometimes this is difficult for a close group of friends, as they are used to chatting together, so do not forget to discuss this point.
    • Meeting new people. Through social networking sites and through other friends, it is very easy to find some future classmates with whom you will keep in touch in the coming year. If your friend knows them or is in contact with them, try to arrange a meeting where you can spend time together to get to know each other better. Meeting new friends before school starts can calm your nerves on the first day if you know you are not alone. You probably won't get to know everyone, but there is some fun in that too!
    • Readiness for the first acquaintance. On the first day of high school (or introductory day), you will have to run into other students you may not know, as well as teachers. This is the time when first impressions are created. Try to be open-minded, be close to your friends, get to know others, and be open. Don't be obsessed with meeting everyone on the first day, remember that friendship takes time. Just exude a pleasant attitude towards others.
  2. 2 Mental preparation
    • Nerves. High school can take a toll on your nerves. It is important to calm down and stop panic. This will help you think about the following topics
    • You must find (or will definitely find) good friends during this trip.
    • This is an exciting new experience
    • In a sense, you have a blank slate in front of you. You can start all over again in high school, grow up with your experience.
    • High school will make you feel older and be a role model.
    • Think more positively about yourself.
    • Trust and pride. In the room of the crowding and chatting students, there is something that sets a person apart - it is confidence and pride. This shows that he is pleased with himself and so he becomes more attractive.Practice self-confidence by drawing attention to your strengths (think about your lucky time or the awards you won, the teams you were a part of, and always keep all of that in mind) and admire yourself. Practice a determined smile and good posture. But remember not to go too far and turn it into narcissism. You should smell this joyful feeling while complimenting others as well, which will create a more positive reputation for you.
  3. 3 Physical training
    • Dream. Even though summer is a great time to have fun with friends and family, remember to get a good night's sleep. Sleep plays an important role in your growth and development, and don't you want to hear "How have you grown!" during the summer? Sleep deprivation can cause fatigue and dark circles under the eyes, which do not improve your appearance or health. In addition, you should practice waking up early for school about a week before starting school. So, one week before school, gradually set your alarm earlier and earlier each day. Set a sleep schedule at night that guarantees you at least 8 hours of sleep, depending on your age.
    • Food. Summer should be a time for a healthy diet, and this does not necessarily mean that you need to lose weight, but simply eat healthy foods. Take a look at your healthy food guide and make sure you are getting all of the elements, with the proper amount of each group. Nutrition plays an important role in maintaining shape and keeping the face clean. Girls and boys, remember: proper nutrition is of great importance! Avoid high-calorie foods and try to limit your intake of carbonated drinks. Go to the grocery store with your parents / guardians / siblings and choose the fruits and vegetables you like. Make it a rule to eat healthy food! Remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and keep your body fresh!
    • Hygiene. What you should practice all year round is hygiene. A neat, presentable person is more attractive than a sloppy and unconcerned person. Remember to shower and scrub regularly to keep your body clean. Also, work on your hair with a good shampoo and anti-oil and dandruff products. Also, make sure your fingernails and toenails are neatly clipped and clean. Girls, you can get a manicure if you want! Just make sure they look presentable, as people notice your nails more often than you think. If you have problems with your facial skin, get treatment (wash your face daily, moisturize your skin, use a cream, arrange prophylaxis) and use these tips all the time! Alternatively, apply some body cream / lotion to your elbows and knees, which often get dry. Remember deodorant!
    • Hair. It is important for girls and boys to take care of their hair. Guys may like to style their hair with a gel or blow dryer. Girls can straighten their hair, curl it, or simply apply a little mousse. Remember, it is best to avoid products with strong scent. In general, keep the number of different flavors to a minimum.
    • Perfume. Be sure to pick a light scent of perfume and spray it before you walk out the door every morning or whenever you need it. If you have a small bottle or sample, you can take the perfume with you and put it in a pencil case or cabinet, which is even better. It's a good idea to keep a bottle of perfume at home (with a more persistent scent) and some body lotion or spray at school. Body lotions and sprays are more refreshing and great to use if you sweat or after dinner, but they won't last long. You can use them frequently throughout the day, and they are much cheaper than perfumes. They can be found in body and bath stores, which often run sales.Carry a spray or body lotion in your bag. Guys can store Ax spray in their drawers or bags if allowed. In general, carrying spray and deodorant with you to school is a good idea.
    • Dental health. Teeth are very important as you need to show a good smile to everyone! Take care of your dental health during the summer - see your dentist, brush your teeth for 2 minutes twice a day, floss and then rinse to freshen your breath. If you want whiter teeth, buy whitening strips, whitening pastes, use natural remedies, or see your dentist. Always, always, keep a pack of chewing gum in your bag. Try to choose minty or icy scents that give you a fresh breath over candy-scented chewing gum - they give your teeth a strange color and they don't last long. Try not to brag that you have gum because it will run out before you can blink. Keep one pack in your bag and one in your locker, just in case.
  4. 4 MAKEUP AND FACIAL FOR GIRLS. This is a small chapter for girls. Guys, read the information below!
    • Girls, remember to apply cream / moisturizer / cleanser from the first day of school, if you need it, in the morning. Also, apply any necessary face protection cream first before applying makeup. Don't go overboard with makeup, because it is completely unnecessary and you can stand out in this way, but in a bad way. Use a light foundation, if you need it, apply 1 coat of mascara and a light lip gloss or lipstick. If you want a little shine, chapstick or Vaseline will do the trick.
    • Among the accessories, small earrings, necklaces or bracelets are suitable. Don't overdo it with jewelry. Choose a good large bag to carry all your materials (folders, files, pencil case, notebooks, wallet). Remember to tidy up your nails or brush them and leave them alone. You can just paint them with clear polish if you like. If weather permits, bring a scarf with you.
    • Just in case, carry with you a cosmetic bag and any other "necessary for girls" things. A small mirror can be very useful. Before leaving for school, quickly check yourself in front of the mirror.
    • Shower and shave! Remember to remember to shave / wax your legs / armpits in the shower or wherever you are comfortable if you are used to it.
  5. 5 Section for guys. Guys should remember to shower before school and get their hair cut about 1 week (or sooner) before if you need to. If you do something with your hair, everyone will immediately notice it, as it will show an effort to take care of your appearance. Check out different hairstyles on Youtube or Google and see what you can do. Put on some perfume before you leave and throw some deodorant in your bag as well. Remember to clean your shoes if necessary and wear clean clothes (if you don't have a uniform). Also put everything you need in your backpack (paper, pencils and pens)
  6. 6 You are ready. You don't have to worry about anything, just make sure to go through all the information the school has given you about the things to bring (on purpose) and just pack them in your bag ahead of time. Before leaving, go to the mirror, take a quick look at yourself, and get ready. Do not forget to bring lunch if needed, or money. Now enjoy the high school experiences.
