Adjusting the volume in Waze is pretty simple. Perhaps you want to increase the volume so that you can hear voice guidance better, or you want to turn it down to drive in silence. Anyway, read on for this quick start guide!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: For Android and iOS
1 Launch Waze. Find the icon (white smiling dialogue bubble with wheels) on your phone in the Applications section. When the app launches, you will immediately see other Waze users who are near you. 
2 Go to the "Settings" section. From the main screen, press the Menu button. It should be a blue and faceless version of the app icon. In the menu, click on the "Settings" button, it will look like a gear. 
3 Scroll through the settings menu and select the 'Sound' option. Find this option under Display Settings and above Navigation. 
4 Adjust the volume. Next to the Prompts volume option, you will see a slider. Move it to the left to decrease the sound and to the right to increase it.You can also click on the “Play Sound to Phone Speaker” option if you want to use an external speaker. - You can also change the sound by pressing the sound buttons on the side of your phone. While you're in the Waze app, these buttons control the sound of the app itself, not the entire phone.
Method 2 of 2: For Windows Phone 8
1 Launch Waze. When the app launches, you will immediately see other Waze users who are near you. 
2 Go to the "Settings" section. From the main screen, press the Menu button. After that click on the "Settings" button, it will look like a gear. 
3 Swipe left to “All”. This way you will display all the important settings. You will only need to complete this step if your phone is running Windows Phone 8, not Android or iOS. 
4 Click on the "Sound" button. In this menu, you can adjust the sound parameters. 
5 Adjust the volume. There should be a slider next to the Prompts volume option. Move it to the left to decrease the sound and to the right to increase it. You can also click on the “Play Sound to Phone Speaker” option if you want to use an external speaker.
Tips
- Be aware that changing the overall volume of your phone will affect the volume of the Waze app.
