Sometimes a blocked website makes it difficult to keep in touch with family and friends. Typically, sites are blocked by governments or ISPs for censorship reasons. In addition, many sites are blocked on work and school computers. In most cases, popular sites such as YouTube and Facebook are blocked. In this article, we will tell you how to bypass blocking and open a blocked site for free - you do not need special knowledge and skills for this.

Method 1 of 5: Using a proxy server

1. 1 Find a quality proxy server. Requests from your computer will go through a proxy server, allowing you to open a blocked site. Moreover, when your traffic is going through a proxy server, your IP address and location cannot be determined.
   • A high-quality proxy server has a minimum of ads or pop-ups. Keep in mind that excessive advertising is common with most free proxy servers.
2. 2 Enter the URL of the blocked site you want to open. Do this in the special address bar on the proxy server website. When you open a blocked site, the proxy server name will be displayed in the menu bar - this means that you opened the site through a proxy and not directly.
3. 3 Press Go or Enter. The blocked site will open through a proxy server on your device. Please note that website loading times through a proxy server increase.

Method 2 of 5: Using an online translator

1. 1 Open the website of the online translator. Such translators can be used as proxy servers - in this case, the translated version of the blocked site will open. That is, the content of a blocked site can be viewed without opening it.
2. 2 Enter the web address of the blocked site. Do this in the left translator window. Now select the language into which the site content will be translated. You can ask to translate the content from Russian into Russian.
