Are old Facebook messages clogging up your inbox? We will teach you how to delete messages permanently.

Steps

1. 1 Log into Facebook with your username.
2. 2 Click on the message icon located in the upper left corner.
3. 3 Select the conversation or conversation you want to delete.
4. 4 Click on the drop-down menu called "Actions" in the upper middle of the screen.
5. 5 Select the "Delete messages" option.
6. 6 Select the messages you want to delete by ticking the checkbox and click "Delete".
   • To delete everything, select Delete Conversation instead of Delete Messages.
   • These actions will delete messages permanently.

Tips

• Neither deleting nor hiding messages removes them from your interlocutor's mailbox.
