1 Buy a guitar or borrow it from someone. Don't buy an expensive guitar. Any cheap guitar will work for you to start with. You will also need a sound amplifier, tuner and other accessories.

2 Find an electric guitar chord book. Chords can be found on the internet at forums and other sites. Try playing different genres of music and see what you do best.

3 Learn basic chords and note-to-note transitions on an electric guitar. Once you have mastered the basics, that is, the root notes, and how they transition from one note to another, try playing chords. It is very important to try to play songs from the very beginning so as not to lose interest in playing guitar. Here are a few songs to get you started and not very difficult to play:

    • Both of these songs have very simple chords. Learning to play them will not be difficult for you.

4 Try playing a whole song. Try playing a song that has an electric guitar solo. Even if you are not very good at playing songs, it will be much more interesting for you to practice if you do not just play individual chords and notes.

5 If you just practice playing individual notes and chords, you will soon get bored. After you have learned a few notes and a chord, be sure to move on to playing songs, favorite musical compositions.

6 Once you're good at it, move on to more challenging exercises and songs.

7 Try playing songs that have a guitar solo, for example: Californication - Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Smells like teen Spirit - Nirvana and Teenage Kicks - The Undertones

8 Learn new electric guitar chords and techniques. For example, try brute force or brute force play. On the electric guitar, brute-force sounds are the most effective. Try some Van Halen songs.

9 Gather a group of friends who play other instruments.
