Below are the steps to draw a zebra. Let's start!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Cartoon Zebra
- 1 Draw two circles, make one larger than the other.
- 2 Use curved lines to connect the circles to make the head.
- 3 Draw a large circle following the smaller one for the body.
- 4 Draw curved lines connecting the body to the head.
- 5 Draw pointed ovals for the ears and tail, and draw a curved line to connect the tail to the body.
- 6 Draw several wide ovals above the elongated, thin ovals for the legs.
- 7 Draw blocky irregular rectangles for the hooves.
- 8 Add the face by drawing ovals for the eyes and nose. Draw curved lines for the eyebrows and mouth. Add two under-mouth blocks for the teeth.
- 9 Draw the outlines of the stripes all over the zebra's body.
- 10 Based on the sketches, sketch out the main body of the zebra.
- 11 Darken the zebra stripes and hooves.
- 12 Erase unnecessary lines.
- 13 Color the zebra!
Method 2 of 2: Realistic Zebra
- 1 Draw an oval connected to a circle for the head.
- 2 Draw two ovals above the head for the ears.
- 3 Draw a circle for the back of the body.
- 4 Draw curved lines connecting the previously drawn circle to the head.
- 5 Draw curved lines for the mane and tail. Add a pointed oval to complete the tail.
- 6 Draw several elongated ovals for the legs.
- 7 Draw irregular blocks under the feet for the hooves.
- 8 Draw stripes all over the zebra's body.
- 9 Draw the zebra's body based on the outline. Draw a shaded oval for the eye.
- 10 Darken the stripes, mouth, ear, mane, tail and hooves.
- 11 Erase unnecessary lines.
