Have you ever wanted to draw guitars or come up with your own designs for guitars? Follow these simple tutorials to learn how to draw perfect acoustic guitars. The red lines mark the details that appear in each subsequent step.

Steps

  1. 1 First, sketch out a horizontal egg-shaped body for the guitar.
  2. 2 Draw a long rectangle at the end of the egg - this is the future neck.
  3. 3 Draw a circle near the rectangle inside the guitar body.
  4. 4 At the end of the fretboard, draw another small rectangle.
  5. 5 Add some volume to your drawing. It all depends on the shape of the guitar you want to draw. The instructions show a standard form.
  6. 6 Add details - strings, frets on the fretboard, tuners, and so on.
  7. 7 Draw in ink and erase the sketch.
  8. 8 Paint the guitar - and you're done!

Method 1 of 1: Alternative Method

  1. 1 Draw two ovals. The left oval should be larger than the right - like an inverted snowman.
  2. 2 Add two rectangles and draw a line in the middle that will connect all the shapes. The top rectangle will become the neck and the bottom rectangle will become the bottom of the guitar.
  3. 3 Use two lines to connect the ovals. Draw two more rectangles on the sides to make the shape of the guitar more realistic.
  4. 4 Draw a small circle within the smaller of the ovals. Round off the sides of the guitar and draw the main lines.
  5. 5 Draw two wavy lines between the ovals to give the guitar the curves it needs. Now you should already clearly distinguish a musical instrument in the picture, but if you did not succeed, check if you missed something. Erase the extra lines as shown in the picture.
  6. 6 Draw six lines on the fretboard - these are the strings. Add the rest of the details - frets, stand, etc.
  7. 7 Point the guitar again and paint it. It is best to use brown tones, unless you want to make the guitar in a non-standard color. Experiment with different tones and shades to find the perfect one.

Tips

  • Feel free to experiment with the body and head shape of your guitar.
  • To make the drawing look neat, when coloring, erase small details (strings, frets, etc.) drawn with a simple pencil and redraw them in color.
