1 Start by painting over the dark circles around the eyes and any scars, blemishes, or other imperfections on the face. Thorough toning is the foundation of any makeup! If the imperfections on the face are too obvious / noticeable, it distracts attention from the positive features of the face. Also, nothing (no good eyeliner or lipstick) can compensate for tired skin. Therefore, you should take care of her appearance. For medium to dark skin tones, MAC's Studio Finish foundations with a sun protection factor are suitable, which eliminates dark circles and any darkening on the skin. If you haven’t found a firm yet whose foundation is best for you, you can try MAC!- Local climate (if you live in a cold region, you will need a drying foundation, and for hotter regions a long-lasting foundation with stronger sun protection will be most suitable).
- Time of day. Try not to apply a lot of foundation throughout the day, as it will look too flashy (foundation is more suitable for the evening).
- Your age. Many foundations contain anti-aging ingredients like Olay's. They also shine in light and help reduce wrinkles. If you are young, the choice of foundations for you is more extensive.
- Circumstances. Typically, makeup needs to be applied depending on the circumstances. If you go to the beach during the day, it doesn't make sense to put on too much makeup, as it will wash off quickly.
Tips
- For contouring nose liner: Choose something that smooths out the lines of the nose, or use a foundation. But in any case, it is necessary to avoid the appearance of excess shine, as it will look unnatural. Choose a lipstick or eyeshadow 2 shades darker than your skin.
- For foundation: Don't rush into buying a foundation. Make sure the color and texture match your skin. See if it contains sunscreen and moisturizers if you need to. Nowadays, it is not necessary to use a liquid foundation, as it is also sold in the form of mousse, cream, mineral powder, and so on. Do not try to use foundation to paint over dark circles or other imperfections on your face, as foundation is not the point at all. For these purposes, a foundation is more suitable.
- For toning: don't use too much foundation. If there is a lot of cream, this does not mean that it will be easier to apply. Take some foundation on your fingertip, rub it between your fingers and apply in gentle strokes.
- For eyebrow makeup: Avoid long, coarse strokes when painting over eyebrows. Do this procedure lightly (if you can do it without letting go of the pencil) so that the strokes are more natural and resemble your own eyebrows.
- For lip color: If you are using eyeliner in cool tones such as blue and green, the lip color should be even lighter. If warm tones suit you better, use a dark green (like olive) or purple eyeliner instead of blue.
- For eye makeup: Try not to use waterproof mascara unless you live in humid regions. They contain more toxins than regular mascara, so you can damage your lashes with this mascara.
- To highlight the eyes: you can use any two-tone eyeliner, but only in blue and green tones. Everything will depend on your own style and how much this makeup suits you.
