In this article, you will learn how to find specific words in a Telegram channel and how to find a new channel.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Search within a channel

1. 1 Start Telegram. It's a blue icon with a white paper airplane. Typically, it can be found on the desktop or in the application menu.
2. 2 Tap the channel you want to search. The content of the channel will appear on the screen.
3. 3 Tap ⁝ in the upper right corner of the screen.
4. 4 Tap Search. The field at the top of the screen will turn into a search field.
5. 5 Enter your search criteria and tap the magnifying glass icon. This icon (on the keyboard) is usually located in the lower right corner.
6. 6 Find the highlighted word (s) in each publication. Scroll up and down the channel to find all mentions of the word you are looking for. All of them will be highlighted in striking color.

Method 2 of 2: Find a Channel

1. 1 Start Telegram. It's a blue icon with a white paper airplane inside. Typically, it can be found on the desktop or in the application menu.
2. 2 Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Enter the name of the channel. When you start typing, a list of search results appears on the screen.
   • If you're not looking for a specific channel, enter a word that will search for channels that match your interests (for example, guitar, games, or veganism).
4. 4 Select a channel from the search results. The channel description appears on the screen.
   • Before joining the channel, the user can start a preview. To do this, tap Instant preview or Open channel.
5. 5 Tap Jointo join the channel. If you decide that this channel is right for you, this way you will add yourself to the number of channel members.
