In this article, you will learn how to send animated GIFs to a WhatsApp contact.

Steps

1. 1 Launch the "WhatsApp" application. The app icon looks like a phone inside a dialog bubble on a green background.
   • If you are not automatically logged into your account, enter your phone number and click "Proceed".
2. 2 Click on the Chats menu at the bottom of the screen, to the left of the "Settings" option.
   • If you are already in the Chats menu, skip this step.
   • If you are in the chat window, click on the "Back" button in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. 3 Click on chat.
4. 4 Click on the blue "+" button in the lower left corner of the screen.
5. 5 Click on the Photo & Video Library option.
6. 6 Click on the GIF button in the lower left corner of the screen. To select a GIF on this page, click on it, or search for a specific GIF using the search box at the top of the screen.
   • Or click on the option "Featured" at the top of the screen to display your favorite GIFs.
7. 7 Click on GIF to open edit mode where you can do the following:
   • Add text or stickers by clicking on the corresponding buttons in the upper right corner of the screen.
   • Add a title by entering it in the box at the bottom of the screen.
   • Add another GIF or image by clicking the "+" icon to the left of the title box.
8. 8 Click on the white arrow in the lower right corner of the screen to send a GIF to the selected contact.
