Sometimes on a ThinkPad, you accidentally turn on the numeric keypad function and then you have to restart your computer to turn it off. When enabled, letters U, I, O, J, K, L, M become numbers. It can be fixed.
Steps
- 1 Turn on the numeric keypad.
- Just press and hold the shift> key.
- Press the key in the upper right corner of your keyboard called "Num Lock / ScrLk". This will enable the function and when using the letters U, I, O, J, K, L, M, numbers will be entered.
- Just press and hold the shift> key.
2 Turn off the numeric keypad. Use the same keyboard shortcut to do this.
What do you need
- These steps will help if you have an IBM Lenovo Thinkpad, 40-60 series, or possibly a later model.
