Did you know that you can import MP3 format electronic audiobooks and CD audiobooks into your iTunes library? Yes it is! For those who love audiobooks, this will be especially helpful, especially since you can now access your audiobooks through iTunes even when you are away from home. Moreover, it is very easy to do.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Import audiobooks from your computer

1. 1 Turn on iTunes. Double click on the icon on your desktop.
   • If you still don't have iTunes, you can download it from here: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
2. 2 Click on "Library". It contains all the content on your iTunes.
3. 3 Find the audiobooks you want to import. Find the folders containing the audiobooks you want to import using the search function on your computer.
4. 4 Select audiobooks.
   • If you only want to select one file, click on it to select it.
   • If you need multiple files, hold down the Ctrl (for Windows) or Cmd (for Mac) key and select the audiobooks you want.
5. 5 Import audiobooks. To do this, drag the selected files with the mouse to the iTunes window. The program will start importing files and adding them to your library.

Method 2 of 2: Importing audiobooks from a CD

1. 1 Insert the CD into the drive. The disk drive is located on the side of your laptop or on the front of your system unit if you have a personal computer.
2. 2 Launch iTunes. To do this, you need to add two times on the iTunes icon on your desktop.
   • If you still don't have iTunes, you can download it from here: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
3. 3 Click on "Audio CD" in iTunes. This button should be located on the left navigation pane.
4. 4 Close the pop-up windows that will ask you to view the data on the disc. Just close these windows as you don't need to open the files themselves to import them.
5. 5 Select all tracks on the disc by pressing Ctrl + A (for Windows) or Cmd + A (for Mac). All tracks on your CD will be highlighted.
6. 6 Click "Advanced Menu" on the menu. The menu is located at the top of the iTunes window.
7. 7 Select “Join CD Tracks”. This will combine all the tracks for easy data import.
8. 8 Click “Advanced Menu” again, but this time select “Submit CD Track Names ("Add labels to CD tracks"). An information panel should appear with fields that you can fill in, such as Singer, Composer, Album, and Genre.
   • Enter the information, then click "OK."
   • Make sure to select “Audiobooks” under “Genre”.
9. 9 Click “Import CD” in the lower right corner of the window. After that, the audiobooks will appear in your library under the Audiobooks section.
