If you enjoy using the microwave, this is a good cooking method to keep your carrots fresh and sweet. It is also an easy and quick way to prepare a salad or a separate carrot dish.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Microwave Carrots
- 1 Place 450 g of peeled carrots in a round baking dish or microwave safe dish. Add 2 tbsp. spoons of water.
- 2 Place the lid on the cookware.
- 3 Turn on the microwave at full power (1000 watts) until the beep sounds. It is recommended to stir once during the cooking process. Usually the cooking times are as follows:
- Thin pieces take about 6-9 minutes to cook
- The strips take about 5-7 minutes to cook
- For small carrots, it takes 7-9 minutes.
- 4 Serve hot. Microwaved carrots can be combined with many dishes as a salad or as a vegetarian supplement.
Method 2 of 2: Microwave Glazed Carrots

- 3 Add 1 tsp. spoon of orange peel and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar.
- 4 Stir lightly to combine the ingredients.
- 5 Place the lid on the dish.
- 6 Place the container in the microwave. Cook for 5-8 minutes at full power (1000 watts) until crusty.
