LG recommends that service and replacement of the battery in your LG G2 should be carried out by the company's own service center or an authorized LG service center. Regardless, if you have the necessary tools (like a SIM ejector and a tool to detach parts), you can remove the battery yourself.

Steps

1. 1 Take the SIM ejector and insert it into the small hole located to the right of the memory card holder. The SIM card holder will automatically pop out of the phone.
   • If you don't have a SIM ejector, insert the end of a paper clip or pin into the hole.
2. 2 Lift the holder out of the phone and set it aside.
3. 3 Insert your fingernail into the empty hole from under the holder. Then, using the unpinning tool, gently start removing the back cover of the LG G2.
4. 4 Swipe the tool around the device until you detach the back cover from the phone.
5. 5 Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws located around the edges of the phone.
6. 6 Using the unlocking tool, carefully pry and remove the two black housing parts that cover the top of the battery.
7. 7 Use a dielectric spudger (spudger) to gently pry up the silver panel connectors covering the long gold panels on either side of the battery.
8. 8 Use a pair of tweezers to remove and peel off the glue strips from the top of the long gold panels.
9. 9 Lift up the gold panels to access the battery underneath.
10. 10 Detach the battery from the motherboard using a detachable tool. The connectors you need are located on the panel just above the top left edge of the battery.
11. 11 Take tweezers or a special tool and carefully remove the battery from the phone.

Warnings

• To avoid permanent damage to any parts when removing them from the LG G2, take your time and handle with utmost care. Any damage to the internal parts of the phone as a result of removing the battery may cause the phone to malfunction and void the warranty.
