Method 1 of 3: On an iPhone or iPad

  1. 1 Launch the Facebook app by touching the icon with a white F on a blue background.
    • If you are not automatically signed in to your account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, and then tap the Sign In button.
  2. 2 Click ☰ in the lower right corner of the screen.
  3. 3 Tap your name at the top of the screen.
    • If you're using Facebook as a page, tap the page name.
  4. 4 Click the Edit button at the bottom of your profile photo. The photo is at the top of the page.
  5. 5 Tap Choose profile photo. Photos can be selected from several albums:
    • camera roll - photos saved in the phone;
    • Photo with you - all the photos on Facebook you are tagged on;
    • Recommended photos - selected photos from your album;
    • Downloads - select a photo from all albums on Facebook.
  6. 6 Tap the photo.
  7. 7 Click Make Temporary.
  8. 8 Choose a duration. Select one of four options during which this photo will be used as a profile photo:
    • 1 hour;
    • 1 day;
    • 1 Week.
    • User settings (select the date of the previous photo)
  9. 9 Tap the Use button in the upper right corner of the screen. The temporary profile photo will remain until it expires or until you replace it. At the end of the validity period, your previous profile photo will reappear.

Method 2 of 3: On Android
