Tired of the standard Sims 2 and Sims 3 music? We'll show you how to add your own music to the game.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Sims 2
1 Select the music you want to load into the game. It must be in wav or mp3 format.
2 Open the Sims 2 music folder: "C: Documents and Settings Username> Documents EA Games The Sims 2 music"
3 Each radio station in the game has a separate folder.
4 Copy the music you have chosen to any folder or all folders at once. Do not create new folders or delete anything.
5 Start the game and open the audio settings.
6 Find the radio station where you copied your music to. Uncheck all the tracks you don't want to listen to.
Method 2 of 2: Sims 3
1 Choose your favorite music. It must be in mp3 format.
2 Open the Custom music folder in the game directory: "C: Documents and Settings Username> Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 3 Custom Music". Remove all music from it.
3 Delete all music from the folder, then copy your music into it.
4 Open the game, open the Music Settings. Click on the note symbol at the top of the page. A playlist will open, which should contain all the songs you selected.
Tips
- In The Sims 2, you can replace all of the soundtracks in the game with your own.
- Do not delete any folders from the game directory. You can only delete music files in The Sims 3, and in The Sims 2, you cannot delete anything at all. * This method only works on a computer.
- Do not rename folders in the game directory if you do not want the game to stop working.
- M4A music files will not work in any version of the game.
