This article will show you how to add the current date to your snapshot before uploading it.

Steps

1. 1 Launch Snapchat by clicking on the yellow white ghost icon.
   • If you are not automatically logged in, enter your username and password to log in.
2. 2 Take a picture. Press the capture button to take a photo, or hold it down to record a video. This button looks like a large white circle at the bottom of the screen. When you take a photo, the button disappears.
3. 3 Swipe left on the picture. Swipe left on the image preview screen to apply various filters. Filters are decorative overlays with which you can change the color of the picture or add the current time, date, weather icon, travel speed, as well as data about where you are and what you are doing.
4. 4 Find a digital clock filter. This filter will show the current time in the center of the picture. Scroll through the filters until you find the one you want.
5. 5 Tap the digital clock. Now, instead of the current time, they will show today's date.
6. 6 Touch the date again. The screen will still show the current date, but in a different display mode.
