In any case, you should know that there are tons of free editing options for your photos. Check out the steps below to find the one that's right for you.

Method 1 of 3: Easy Image Editing

1. 1 For simple image editing, it's best to use Microsoft Paint. Paint isn't the best editing and touch-up program, but it's not completely useless. Click on the image icon with the right mouse button and select the Open in Paint option. You can apply rotation effects, resize or cut out the desired parts of the image. You can also crop out a portion of the image and enlarge it. However, the quality of your image will suffer. Paint allows you to save images in a variety of formats, including PNG and JPEG.

   • GIMP offers an impressive number of plugins designed specifically for this program. With these plugins, you can add textures, effects and whatever you want. Just like the program itself, the plugins are absolutely free. In addition, GIMP also contains a plugin that allows you to use all plugins written for Photoshop, which allows the program to have an even richer plugin library than Photoshop.

2. 2 Try Paint.NET. Paint.NET is a legacy editor originally created to compete with Microsoft Paint. He survived and continues to be updated periodically by a small group of enthusiasts. At the moment, the program has a surprisingly wide range of photo editing functions. Paint.NET is better (albeit with fewer features) user-centric.
   • Paint.NET often wins over GIMP in terms of choice for many users, as it offers most of the functionality for non-professional users without unnecessary features. There is the possibility of applying filters, managing layers, and all this can be found intuitively in a fairly simple interface.
   • Paint.NET is in the middle for more advanced image editing. Still, the results look more amateurish when compared to editing in GIMP.

3. 3 Give a chance to Give Photo Pos Pro. Situated somewhere between Paint.NET and GIMP, Photo Pos Pro was once a paid program. Since the program became free, many users began to give preference to it, not seeing the need for training in working with the GIMP.
