This wikiHow article shows you how to permanently delete your Spotify account using the Spotify website.

Steps

1. 

   Go to home page Spotify on a web browser.
   • You cannot delete your Spotify account directly in the app.

   Scroll to the bottom of the page and click About (Information). This is in the lower-left corner of the page, just below "Company".

   Click Contact Us (Contact us). This section is under "Customer Service and Support".

   Type in your username and password and click Log In (Log in). You can skip this step if you're already signed in to your account.

   Click Account (Account). This is one of the options under "Hello. How can we help you?" (Hello. How can we help you?). After clicking this link, you will see a request screen outlining the problem you are having with your account.

   Click I want to close my Spotify account permanently (I want to permanently delete my Spotify account). Here's one of the options below the "Can you tell us a little more?" (Can you tell us more?)

   Click Close Account (Delete the account). Spotify User Care will soon process your request, and the account will be permanently deleted as soon as the request is approved.
   • After deleting the account, you can no longer restore your music library. If you want to suspend using Spotify, you should click the button Cancel Subscription (Cancellation of paid subscription) on page. This allows you to restore all your playlists, songs and friends if you ever decide to re-enable the paid subscription feature again.
