Method 1 of 3: Highlight and delete

1. 

   Click the line just above the unwanted line. If there is any text directly above the line, select the entire line above the border.

   Drag the mouse pointer to the line directly below the unwanted line. The left part of the line is highlighted.

Method 2 of 3: Use a Home card

   Click the card Home at the top of the screen.

4. 

   Click the "Borders and Shading" icon. This button has a square that is divided into four frames within the "Paragraph" section of the ribbon.

Method 3 of 3: Use the Page Borders dialog box

1. 

   Click the line just above the unwanted line. If there is any text directly above the line, select the entire line above the line.
