Wi-Fi usage fees can be quite expensive at times, but fortunately there are a few tips that you can use to help keep your costs down. You can try connecting to your neighbor's Wi-Fi or using the internet at cafes, libraries, etc. However, keep in mind that some of the methods below come with risks, for example, you could have your personal information stolen or you could be subject to probation.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Close to your home

1. • Use a database hotspot. Wi-Fi has a huge list of over 100 million hotspots worldwide, including rural areas you don't expect. They also have apps for iPhone and Android, so it's okay to find yourself a connection with the search engine in your hand.
     • If your device cannot find hotspots, download one of the following software (free!) To enhance your device's network search capabilities. Even hidden networks will be shown. For Windows: NetStumbler, InSSIDer or Ekahau Heat Mapper are good choices. For Macs: iStumbler or KisMac; for Linux: Kismet or SWScanner.
     • Remember, do not perform any online transfers or payments on this connection because you are using an unencrypted connection. Note as this may be illegal in some regions.

   Connect with your phone. This is not the ideal option (your data will be used, the battery will drain quickly and the connection will not be as fast), however, the work will be done. That is the problem!
   • If you have an iPhone, you can use the Personal Hotspot feature located in Settings.
   • For Android: go to Settings - Wireless & Networks - Portable Wi-Fi hotspot; make sure the feature is turned on.

   Establishing a connection through a telecom company. A big surprise to you: if you can connect to the internet of a telecom company, you can access tens of thousands of hotspots without your knowledge. Check your carrier's website for a map of nearby hotspots, or download their mobile app (if available) and search that way.

   Share passwords or connect to the internet with neighbors, friends or family. In exchange for this service, suggest to them that you can periodically do tasks like gardening, making repairs, or taking out trash. Or you can also exchange for other needs.
   • If they don't agree, try using some ISP (Internet Service Provider) service that allows free access. In Vietnam, the project of S-Wi-Fi's free Wi-Fi is spread over hundreds of public areas, serving the internet access needs of residents and visitors.

Method 2 of 2: Neighborhoods

1. 

   Find your favorite hangout places. Many places have to remain competitive, and they are willing to offer free Wi-Fi. Not only Starbucks, KFC or McDonald's are your options, there are many other places you never thought of that have Wi-Fi with no password set available for those who need it.
   • Obviously, free Wi-Fi is available in hotel lobbies and cafes and cafes, but what about your banks, 24-hour supermarkets, laundromat or yoga studio? Don't assume that they don't need internet access so they won't have Wi-Fi installed. That is a mistake!

   • Vehicle maintenance and repair centers. From cars to motorcycles, vehicle maintenance and repair stations such as YAMAHA, HONDA, FORD and so on, all have free Wi-Fi for customers to kill time.

   Become a potential customer. Enter the lobby of a hotel and present your VIP card (loyalty card), you will know their Wi-Fi password. no need must book a room. And the more loyalty programs you subscribe to of different services, the more opportunities you have to get free internet access.
   • Foody application provides many promotional codes, information about places for eating, drinking, entertainment and Wi-Fi passwords of those places. There are also free Wi-Fi password-sharing apps that you can download on Google Play or the App Store.

• Use the computer at your university / college or your school library.

Warning

• Sharing, accessing the system, or disrupting someone else's internet connection can put you in serious legal trouble, especially if you haven't gotten consent from the owner. Always think twice before doing anything.
