This article shows you how to create your own subreddit on Reddit.com. A subreddit is a section of the Reddit online forum page about a specific topic.

Steps

1. 

   Access https://www.reddit.com using a web browser. If you are not logged into Reddit account, click LOG IN near the top of the page to do this.
   • If you are not already a member of the Reddit community, click SIGN UP Near the top right corner to create an account now.
   • To create a subreddit, you must meet the following requirements: Your account must be created at least 30 days from the time of subreddit creation, and you must have a positive karma score (i.e. the content you post a lot. people like). Requests for positive karma points are kept confidential to avoid posting spam on the page.

   Click CREATE COMMUNITY. This button is at the top of the rightmost column on the Reddit home page.
   • If you moved Reddit to the old version, click Create your own subreddit.

   Enter details about the subreddit. On this page you can create subreddit name, background color, description information and more. These are all yours, so customize it as you like.
   • Name: This is part of the website address of the subreddit. Example: If you name the subreddit ″ wikihow ″, the address for the subreddit will be https://reddit.com/r/wikihow. The name cannot be changed, contains no spaces, and is not a registered trademark.
   • Title: Located at the top of the subreddit.
   • Description: You will cover the purpose of the subreddit here.
   • Sidebar (sidebar): The text and link you want to display in the right sidebar of the subreddit will be imported here.
   • Submission text (submission document): Enter the text you want other redditors to see when they create a new post on your subreddit.
   • Other preferences: Explore more options like colors, reader requirements, post type you'd like to allow, and language. Choose the option that best suits your needs.

   Click create. This button is at the bottom of the page. Now your subreddit is created and ready to use. advertisement

Advice

• Try to make your subreddit unique and interesting. Look for similar subreddit before creating your own.
• If you feel like you don't need a subreddit anymore, you can post it to r / adoptareddit.
