A Google account is the key to accessing all of the Google apps and services, most of which are free. Signing up for a Google account is very quick, but you will need to provide some personal information. Follow the instructions below to see what you need to do to get the most out of Google.

Steps

1. 

   Open any Google website. Including Google, Gmail, Google+, Drive, and many others. Click the red Sign In button, and then click the red Sign Up button. You will take you to the “Create a new Google Account” page.
   • These buttons may change depending on the Google service you are using. Gmail, for example, has a "Create an Account" button instead of a "Sign Up" button.

   Choose a username. By default, your username will become your new Google account name. You can click on the link below to create a new Google account from an existing email address instead of creating a new Gmail address.
   • This option does not apply if you are signed up for a Gmail account. In this case, you must create a new Gmail account.
   • If your username is not available, you will be given several similar options, or you can try a different one.

   Fill in the remaining required information. You will need to enter your full name, date of birth (to confirm your age), gender, phone number in case you lose access to your account, and a confirmation email address. You also need to provide the country in which you are resident.
   • Phone number recommended but not required.

   Enter the CAPTCHA verification code. This is a verification tool to make sure you are the real one who is creating the account. If you can't read the code, press the refresh button next to the text box to get a new confirmation code, or click the speaker icon to hear the code read through the computer.

   Agree to the privacy policy. Take the time to read the privacy policy to see what Google can do and can't do with your personal information. Check the box if you agree to the Google terms.

6. 

   Click Next Step. You will be taken to your Google+ profile creation page. Every Google account will create a Google+ account when they are set up. You can choose to add photos to your account if you want.

7. 

   Click the Get Started button. Your Google account has been created. You can press the button to return to the Google homepage, or visit any of the Google services. Auto-login will be enabled on any Google page you visit. advertisement
