This wikiHow teaches you how to automatically insert page numbers into Google Docs (Google Docs) files on your iPhone or iPad.

Steps

  1. Open Google Docs on your iPhone or iPad. The app has a green paper icon with the corner of the paper folded down, inside with white lines.Apps are usually located on the home screen.

  2. Click the file you want to edit. Document will open.
  3. Click on the mark + at the top of the screen, to the right. The “Insert” menu will open at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Scroll down on the menu and tap Page number (Number of pages). A list of positions for the page number will appear.
  5. Tap the location you want. Choose from four options representing page number positions. The page number will be inserted immediately.
    • The first option adds the page number to the top-right corner of each page, starting with the first page.
    • The second option adds the page number to the top right corner of each page, starting with the second page.
    • The third option adds the page number to the lower right corner of each page, starting with the first.
