This article will guide you on how to change the Facebook Messenger notification sound on Android devices.

Steps

1. 

   Open the Messenger app. The app is in the app tray, symbolized by a blue conversation bubble with a white flash inside.
   • If you aren't logged in, continue by entering your Facebook credentials.

   Touch the icon of personal page settings. This icon is a gray circle with a white inner human figure in the upper right of the screen.

   Touch options Notifications and Sounds (Notice and sound).

   Slide the “Notifications and Sounds” switch to On. If this switch is already on (white) then you can skip this step.

5. 

   Slide the “Sounds” switch to On. If this switch is already on (blue), you can skip this step.

6. 

   Touch options Notification Sound (Notification sound). This option is just below the "Sound" switch.

7. 

   Choose a sound. You will hear a preview when you touch each sound in the list.

8. 

   Touch the button OK to save. Now your Android device will play this sound when it receives a notification from Facebook Messenger. advertisement
