Your friends have posted a funny piece of content on Facebook, and you want to share it with people you know? Facebook allows you to quickly repost posts that others have posted, including status updates, images, videos, and more. When you use the "Share" feature on a person's post, you will be able to post a new one without liking and commenting on it. If you want to keep the likes and comments of the article, you can click the like button (like) or comment on the content you want to share so that the article appears on your friends' update list page.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Repost Posts Including Comments and Likes

   Find the content you want to repost on your site. If you want to maintain the likes and comments of an article or image when you re-post, then you will need to comment on that content. You can comment on your friends' posts or pictures.
   • You can also use this method to republish an old post you have posted or that of a friend. Find the original post (you may have to review your friends Timeline) and then read on.
   • In fact, this is not really "re-posting", but it is the only way to post articles to your friends' updated list without losing likes and comments. If you use the "Share" feature of an article, it will create a new post and delete the Likes and comments.

   Comment on the article or image you want to "post again". This step will post the content on your profile page, and will show up on your friends' updated list. You can do this for old posts you want to post on, or for posts your friends might not see.
   • You can Like old posts, too, but it's less likely to show up on the update page.

   Do not press the Share button if you want to keep your comments and likes. Otherwise you will create a new post with the same content on your profile. As such the comments and likes are lost, but allows you to manage the post. advertisement

Method 2 of 2: Share Content with Friends

   Find the content you want to repost. You can republish most posts posted by others. Check your list of updates for the status, images, links, or posts you want to share with others. The posts you cannot republish are those in the secret group.
   • This method will not retain the Likes and comments of the original post. If you want to repost content that others have posted and keep all likes and comments, then you will need to reply to the original post with a new comment.

   Click the Share Link. This button is located below posts and on likes and comments.

   Choose where you want the content to be reposted. When you click the Share link, a new window will appear. Use the drop-down menu at the top of the new window to choose where you want to post the content again. You can choose to share on a personal timeline, a friend's timeline, a group's, or a message.
   • If you choose to share on a friend's timeline, you'll be asked to enter a specific friend's name.
   • If you choose to share on the group, you will be asked to enter a specific group name.
   • If you choose to share via text, you will be asked to enter a recipient's name.

   Add a new status. When you repost an asset, you will be given a new status to that asset. This status will appear on top of re-posted items, with the original status appearing below.
   • You can tag a friend in your status by entering the "@" character in front of your friend's name.

   Remove original poster. By default, when a post is shared it shows the first post. You can remove this information by clicking the Remove link next to the original poster's name.

   Selection of security options. You can use the drop-down menu below the window to choose your post display format. You can choose to show it to everyone, your friends, just you, or customize it from your friends list.

   Share articles. Once you are satisfied with the sharing options, you can republish the post by clicking the Share button. The post will appear on the specified timeline or status.
   • Depending on the privacy settings of the original post, you may not be allowed to share it with everyone.

• If the post does not have a Share link, you will need to copy and paste the content of the post into its own Facebook page.
