  • A glass measuring cup with a spout is convenient to pour the lipstick out later, but if you don't have one, you can use a regular glass bowl.
  • Do not put the capsules in the cup.
  • Stir the mixture periodically until everything is mixed. Use a silicon shovel to scrape around the cup, so that all ingredients are completely dissolved together. Once the mixture is completely mixed and no lumps are left, your job is done!
    • If you are lazy to clean the silicon shovel after you are done, you can use a disposable plastic spoon.

  • Measure 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of vaseline in a microwave bowl. If you want, you can use 2 bowls containing 2 different colored lip glosses, or use 1 bowl to make multiple tubes of the same color. Since the bowl does not require much storage, you can use a very small bowl to avoid waste.
    • If you don't have vaseline, you can use a different kerosene wax.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of lipstick to the vaseline bowl. Use less lipstick for a lighter shade, or more of it for a dark shade. You just need to cut a small piece of lipstick and put it in a mixing bowl.
    • If you don't have lipstick, you can use eyeshadow or blush to color the lip gloss.
    • At this point, you can add 1-2 drops of your favorite essential oil or a pinch of glitter to the mixture.

  • Heat in the microwave for 10-30 seconds. Microwave the bowl and set the time for 10 seconds for the first time. Check after the time is up to see if the mixture has dissolved. If it hasn't melted, put the bowl back on and cook for another 10-20 seconds.
    • Be careful when using the microwave. The bowl can be very hot after it has been cooked.

Advice: If you don't have a microwave, use a water bath to melt the ingredients.

  • Use the disposable spoon to stir the vaseline and lipstick well. Just stir the mixture for about 10 seconds to make sure it blends completely together. Surely you don't want a lumpy lip gloss!
    • Don't worry if you don't have a disposable spoon. It just makes your cleaning a little lighter, but you can use a regular spoon and rinse it off after you are done.

  • Microwave the coconut oil and cocoa butter mixture. Measure 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of cocoa butter in a microwave bowl. Heat ingredients in a microwave for 10 seconds until they melt and form a homogeneous mixture.
    • Melting time of the mixture will not exceed 30-40 seconds.
  • Add vitamin E to the mixing bowl. Cut open 3 vitamin E tablets and squeeze the liquid inside into the bowl. Throw away the shell of the capsule, not in a bowl.

Do you know: Vitamin E helps to protect lips from the harmful effects of sunlight while also moisturizing and softening lips.

  • Add lipstick and essential oils if you want a colored or scented lip gloss. Adding 1-2 drops of your favorite essential oils will give the lipstick a pleasant fragrance.Add about 1 teaspoon of lipstick to color the lip gloss and add vitality to your face.
    • You can also add in some eyeshadow, blusher or beetroot powder to color the lip gloss.
  • Use blush powder or beets powder to color the lip gloss. Shred about ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) of your favorite powder into the melted lip gloss mixture. Stir until mixture blends and pour lip gloss into the tube.
    • The more powder you use, the darker the color of the lipstick is. Experiment with different amounts of powder to find your favorite color.
  • Add a teaspoon of lipstick to the lip gloss for a signature color. Add some lipstick for a darker shade. Put the lipstick in a measuring cup with the other ingredients before boiling in the water bath.
    • Red, pink, purple, and even more intense shades of lipstick can all be added to lip gloss to create color.
  • Add glitter to make the lip gloss sparkle. Initially, you should add about 1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) of glitter into the melted lipstick mixture, before pouring the lipstick into the tube. If you want to use more glitter then add 1/2 teaspoon (2 grams). Stir the mixture well and pour the lip gloss into the tubes.
    • For your safety, don't use manual glitter. Cosmetic glitter is manufactured to come into contact with human skin and is not toxic if accidentally swallowed.

Advice: Be careful not to use too much glitter. Using too much glitter can alter the consistency of the lipstick and create grain in the lipstick.

    • Clean the mixing bowl by soaking it in a pot covered with boiling water. The ingredients will be melted again and you wipe the bowl with a sponge. If you use beeswax, throw away the sponge after using it instead of keeping it for next time.
