This wikiHow teaches you how to send email using Gmail. You can use the Gmail website to send email from your computer or use the Gmail mobile app to send email from your smartphone / tablet.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On the computer

1.

Advice

• If you want to save the email as a draft on your computer, wait for the "Saved" status to appear next to the trash icon in the lower right of the email window, then click the X in the top right corner of the window. The email will be saved in the folder Drafts (Draft) on the left side of the inbox.
• Emails with BCC will not show a list of BCC email addresses even if the recipient wants to see all recipients.
• You need to make sure the email content is appropriate. Never send addresses, phone numbers, etc. in an email unless the recipient is a close friend or family member.

• Limit sending email addresses to people or sites that you don't trust.
