Rabbits, gerbils and guinea pigs are popularly raised for use as an ornamental, however sinusoidal squirrels make a very interesting pet. Like rabbits and guinea pigs, the sinusoid is an herbivore with a soft coat and a moderately long tail. These South American-born squirrels will feel comfortable if they are trained from a young age. Learn how to handle them properly so that the sinister squirrels feel safe.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: Get acquainted with sin-sinus squirrels

1. 

   Give them time. If you are a new owner, let them adjust to your new cage. Let squirrels for a few days get used to the objects in the house. When you are ready to meet, wash your hands well. Make sure your hands are clean and free of any scent other than your body odor.

   Let Sin-sin get acquainted with you. Use food to approach them in a friendly way. Hold some food (hay, green vegetables or a small piece of cactus) in your palm, keeping your hand flat. Sinned squirrel will come close to spying. Let them sniff and take food from human hands.
   • When the squirrel is comfortable and starts to chew, keep the food on your finger. Hand feed the squirrel for a few days until it is comfortable.

Part 2 of 3: Approaching the sinusoidal squirrel

   Approach the sinusoidal squirrel slowly. Most sinusoidal squirrels are quite shy, so you need to be very slow. They don't bite anyone often, but they can still bite when scared.

   Speak gently and avoid frightening the squirrels. Sinsin squirrels usually sleep during the day and are more active at night. This is why they prefer a quiet environment during the day.
   • Remember, sine-sine squirrels belong to rodents and predators. This means that they often run and hide to defend. If the squirrel dodges, don't chase it. Being chased only makes them even more frightened.

Part 3 of 3: Hold and hold sinusin

   Hold the squirrel with a cotton towel. Use leather gloves or cotton towels to pick up your pet, especially if the subject is a squirming sinus squirrel. 4.

Advice

• Do not chase or cornered sin-sin squirrel in a squash position. They will feel threatened and may bite you back.
• Be prepared to stop them from jumping out of your hands. Keep your hands not too high above the ground or near areas with soft surfaces to prevent squirrel injury.
