This wikiHow shows you how to switch to Street View mode from a map location on Google Maps on an iPhone or iPad and see real photos of the streets.

To step

1. Open the Google Maps app on your iPhone or iPad. The Maps icon resembles a small map with a red location pin. You can find it on your home screen or in an app folder.
2. Search for the location you want to view on the map. You can tap, hold, and drag your screen to move around the map, or swipe with two fingers to zoom in on a location.
3. Tap and hold the location you want to see. This will place a red pin on the map at the selected location. The address of your location appears at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap the photo thumbnail at the bottom left. The Street View thumbnail of your location appears in the lower left corner of the map. This will open the selected location in full screen in Street View mode.
5. Swipe up and down along the blue road lines. Available roads and routes are indicated in Street View with blue lines on the ground. You can walk around town or country by swiping these blue roads.
