This wikiHow teaches you how to subscribe to a podcast channel and listen to an episode on Android. You can listen to podcasts on Google Play Music, with Podcast Player or with another podcast player.

Method 1 of 2: Using Google Play Music

1. Open the Google Play Music app on your Android. The Play Music app looks like an orange arrow with a music note on it. You can find it in your Apps menu.
   • If you don't have the Play Music app on your phone or tablet, you can download and install it from the Play Store.
2. Tap on it ☰ icon. This button is located at the top left of your screen. This will open a navigation menu on the left.
3. Tap on Podcasts in the menu. You can browse different podcasts to download them here.
4. Tap the tab TOP LISTS. This button is at the top of the Podcasts page. It will open a list of the most popular podcasts in your area.
   • You can also tap the icon Tap a podcast. This will open a list of the available episodes on a new page.
   • Tap the Subscribe-button. You'll find this button below the podcast's name on the available episodes page.
     • If you don't see this button, tap it ⋮icon, and search for the Subscribe-option.
   • Adjust your subscription. You can automatically download and enable push notifications here, or change the playback order of the episodes.
     • If you the Download automatically option, your Android will download the last 3 episodes automatically.
     • If you check the box notifications check box, you will receive a push notification as soon as a new episode is released.
     • Tap Playback order to choose whether you want to play the episodes from newest to oldest or oldest to newest.
   • Tap the SUBSCRIBE-button. This option is written in orange in the lower right corner of the popup screen. This will subscribe you to the selected podcast.
   • Scroll down and tap an episode. Plays the selected episode.

Method 2 of 2: Using Podcast Player

1. Download the Podcast Player app in the Play Store. Search for the Podcast Player app in Google Play, then tap the green one INSTALLbutton to download it.
   • Podcast Player is a free third-party app that allows you to download and listen to podcasts.
2. Open the Podcast Player app on your Android. The Podcast Player icon looks like a white radio tower in a purple circle. You can find it in your Apps menu.
3. Choose your areas of interest. When you first open the app you will be asked to choose categories and topics that you are interested in. Tap a topic to select it.
   • You have to choose at least 3 areas of interest here. If you see more topics that interest you, you can choose more.
4. Tap the Next one button. This will confirm your areas of interest and recommend a number of podcasts based on your interests.
5. At the top right, tap TO SKIP. This skips the recommendations page and opens the Podcasts home page.
   • You can also tap on it + sign next to a podcast recommendation to follow.
6. Tap a podcast on the Podcasts page. Find an interesting podcast and tap its name or icon to view a list of all episodes.
   • The Podcasts page opens in the tab RECOMMENDED. You can browse other podcasts by going to one of the other tabs TRENDING, CATEGORIES, or NETWORKS to go.
7. Tap the Subscribe-button. This is a purple button at the top of the episode list. This will subscribe you to the selected podcast.
8. Scroll down and tap an episode. This will open the details of the selected episode in a pop-up window.
9. Tap the -button. This button is on the right of your screen. Plays the selected episode.
