It is easy to change the volume in Waze. Maybe you want to make it louder so you can hear the directions, or maybe you want to turn it down so you can drive smoothly. Either way, read on for a quick guide!

Method 1 of 2: Android and iOS

1. Open Waze. Look for the icon (a white, smiling speech bubble with wheels) among the other apps on your phone. When the app is opened, you will immediately see the other Waze users driving around you.
2. Go to Settings'. On the home screen, click the Menu button, which should display a blue and faceless version of the logo. From the Menu you have to select the gear-like icon from "Settings".
3. In the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Sound". Look for this icon under "Display Settings" and "Navigation".
4. Adjust the volume. There should be a slider next to "Prompt volume". Move the slider to the left to decrease the volume and move it to the right to increase the volume. You can also click on "Play sound through phone speaker" if you prefer to use an external speaker.
   • You can also adjust the volume by pressing the ring buttons on the side of your phone. While the Waze app is open, the ring buttons will change the volume of the app instead of the overarching volume of the phone.

Method 2 of 2: Windows Phone 8

1. Open Waze. When the app opens, you immediately see the other Waze users driving around you.
2. Go to Settings'. First, click on the Menu button. From the Menu, select the gear-like icon from "Settings".
3. Swipe left to "Everything". This should display all relevant settings. You should only perform this step if you are using a Windows Phone 8 instead of Android or iOS.
4. Click on "Sound". This menu allows you to adjust the volume settings.
5. Adjust the volume. There should be a slider next to "Prompt volume". Slide it to the left to decrease the volume or to the right to increase the volume. You can also click on "Play sound through phone speaker" if you prefer to use an external speaker.

Tips

• Don't forget that adjusting your phone's overall volume will also affect Waze's volume.
