This wikiHow teaches you how to improve accuracy in Google Maps for Android by recalibrating the compass.

To step

1. Open Google Maps on your Android. This is the map icon that is usually on the home screen or between your apps.
2. Tap the blue dot on the map.
3. Tap on Calibrate compass. It's in the bottom left corner of the screen.
4. Tilt your Android into the pattern on the screen. You have to follow the pattern on the screen three times to properly calibrate the compass.
5. click on READY. Now that the compass has been calibrated, it will display more accurate results.
