In this article, you will learn how to delete files that have been downloaded to your smartphone or tablet with Android and that are stored in the memory.

To step

1. Open the app drawer. In most versions of Android, it is an icon at the bottom of the screen that consists of several dots. Tap the icon to open the app drawer.
2. Tap on Downloaded files. You can find this option among the Apps shown. Usually they are in alphabetical order.
   • Some versions of Android do not have the "Downloaded Files" app. In that case you may have to open the File Manager first, for example Files or My files and then on Downloaded files must tap.
3. Tap and hold the file you want to delete.
   • Your device will be in "Select mode"; tap other files to select them.
4. Tap the "Delete" icon. This could be a trash can at the top or bottom of the screen, or the word "DELETE".
5. Tap on REMOVE. This will confirm that you want to delete the downloaded files from your device.
   • In some versions of Android, a dialog box may ask you to click OK tapping.
