This wikiHow teaches you how to tell if one of your Skype contacts has blocked your account. Since Skype does not notify you when you have been blocked, you will need to find out for yourself using instructions in the user's profile.

To step

1. Open Skype. Look for the blue icon with a white "S".
   • If you're using an Android or iPhone, tap the icon on your home screen or in the app drawer (Android).
   • If you're on Windows, you'll find it in the Windows menu.
   • On a Mac, look in the Dock or Launchpad.
2. Log in to your account. Enter your Skype login information when prompted, then click Sign Up.
3. Find the user in your contact list. Your contacts are on the left side of the screen.
   • If you see a gray question mark or "x" to the left of the person's name, you may be blocked. However, this could also mean that they just removed you as a contact.
4. Click or tap the user's name. This will open the user's user profile. Here are a few indications that the user has blocked you in Skype:
   • If you see a message that says "This person has not shared his or her information with you" on the user's profile, he or she has probably blocked you.
   • If their profile picture shows the default Skype icon instead of their normal picture, then you are probably blocked.
