Getting your hair cut can get very expensive pretty quickly, especially if you have a short haircut. Fortunately, shaving hair with clippers is not that difficult. Know how comb attachment numbering works. The comb attachments of a clipper all have a different number, and the number determines the length of your hair. In general, the lower the number, the shorter your hair will be. With a comb attachment with a "0" you shave the hair almost completely, while with a comb attachment with a number 8 your hair becomes 2.5 centimeters long. There is always three millimeters of length between the comb attachments, starting with comb attachment number 1, which makes the hair three millimeters long. EXPERT TIP 
Lubricate the inside. Some clippers also require you to lubricate the inside with oil. The user manual for the clippers tells you whether you should do this with your clippers. You usually have to unscrew a cover, although some clippers have a special place to drop a drop of oil. This spot is indicated with an arrow.
Tips
- A hair dryer is very suitable for blowing short hairs from the neck after shaving with clippers. Applying baby powder to the neck will help keep the hairs from sticking to the skin, making it easier to wipe them away.
